Emily Inderrieden
Emily
Inderrieden is a senior currently studying Piano Pedagogy at
Weber State University under the direction of Dr. Yu-Jane Yang.
She feels blessed to have had the opportunity to study under Dr.
Yang's direction from the time she was 12 years old. She has
studied piano for 15 years and has won first prize in several
piano competitions including Albertsons College of Idaho
International Competition for Creative Pianists, Utah Symphony
Youth Guild Piano Competition, and the WSU Piano Festival for
three consecutive years. Most recently she won the opportunity
to perform Chopin’s First Piano Concerto with the Weber State
University Symphony Orchestra. She has been a piano teacher and
has served as a volunteer pianist at the LDS Conference Center
and Joseph Smith Memorial Building for five years. Emily
currently serves as the President of the UMTA-WSU Treblemakers
chapter.
In addition to her musical achievements, Emily has also served
in her community as Miss Kaysville/Fruit Heights 2006 and made
the Top 10 at the Miss Utah Pageant in 2007 winning a
preliminary talent award. While serving as Miss Kaysville/Fruit
Heights she established a program to celebrate the performing
arts in her community called “Celebrating Our Stars.” She loves
serving others and enjoys doing so in a variety of ways.
