Cindy Lo

     Born in Taiwan, the twenty one-year-old pianist Hsin-Ju (Cindy) Lo has studied piano for fifteen  years. She is currently pursuing her Piano Performance degree in Music and is a piano student of Dr. Yu-Jane Yang at Weber State University.
      Since coming to Utah in August 2006, Cindy has been selected to perform at the honors recital of the Utah Music Teachers State Conference in 2006 and 2007. Cindy won the second place of the 2008 and 2009 Coeur d' Alene Symphony Orchestra Young Artist Competition.  Cindy was one of the winners of the 2008 WSU Concerto Night Competition, and performed with Weber State Orchestra in the WSU Concerto Night Concert in April 2008. Moreover, she was the second place winner of the Utah Music Teachers Association State Concerto competition in 2008. She was awarded Honorable Mention in the 2008 Utah State Fair Piano Competition Collegiate Division.

 

 

Cindy's Interview: (Interviewed by Sydnee)

Q. What do you think about the Treblemakers?
A.
It's really nice.  Can get to know each other quicker.  It's helpful for the music students.

Q. What advice can you give to new students?
A.
Work harder and anyone will help if you have questions.

Q. Who are your favorite composers?
A.
My favorite composers are Liszt and Chopin. 

Q. What piece do you enjoy the most then?
A. I generally
love piano solos.  Chopin's Ballade and Scherzo are me favorite.
