Teaching Episode

This assignment provides you the opportunity to share with the class what you have learned throughout the semester. Specifically use what you have learned through the Facets Model assignment and the Music Learning Activities Plan to share a series of music learning experiences with the class.

Directions: Using your Facets Model, your Kinesthetic Maps, your Visual Maps, and your Music Learning Activities Plan, share a logical sequence of music learning activities with the class. Engage the students in several musical learning behaviors.

Evaluation Criteria

A teacher applies principles of good music teaching and learning found in our textbook.
The teacher is prepared to engage the students with a variety of experiences organized around a certain musical selection.
The teacher engages the students in 3 or more different music learning behaviors.
The teacher maintains professional deportment at all times. (preparation: familiar with technology ahead of teaching episode; understands time limits and uses time wisely; doesn't make complaints, but provides the best possible lesson in the time allowed)
The teacher provides appropriate learning experiences for the ages and abilities of the learners. The teaching episode challenges us through two or more learning modalities.
