FALL 2022
COVID Attendance & Participation Policy

This is a face-to-face class; your consistent attendance in the classroom is expected. Absences will result in a loss of points for any exercise or activity completed during class.

However, due to the COVID pandemic, class sessions may be broadcast on Zoom (see the class Canvas page) in case you experience one of the following:

  1. If you become ill with symptoms associated with COVID, please stay home and use Zoom. Get a COVID test as soon as possible and either provide evidence of quarantine or return to class when you are able.
  2. If you have been placed on quarantine by the Health Department or the University, provide evidence to the instructor as soon as possible. You may attend class via Zoom during the length of the quarantine.
  3. If you have children or care for adults who have been put on quarantine (for example, if your child's school goes "virtual" for two weeks), you may attend class via Zoom during that period. Please notify the instructor as soon as possible.

In all cases, notify the instructor via email (tmathews@weber.edu) before class starts so that he can activate Zoom. Any assignments that would normally be turned in should be emailed to the instructor; do not attempt to upload them in Canvas. Unless you meet one of the situations above, do not email assignments without specific permission.
