Motion: Moved to approve the minutes for the December 16, 1999 meeting.

Outcome: The minutes were approved.
3. Research, Scholarship and Professional Growth Committee B
Gary Godfrey, Chair, reported on the instructional improvement and research
proposals awarded during Fall Semester 1999.
The committee had $15,000 for instructional improvement and research proposals,
$10,000 for new faculty awards, and $3,500 in recovered funds from expired
projects for a total of $28,500 available for the Fall awarding period. The
committee received 27 proposals which requested just over $60,000. Fourteen
projects were funded for a total of $25,600. New Faculty awards were given to
four faculty members: John Cavitt, Lauren Fowler, Colin Inglefield, and Suzanne
Kanatsiz for a total of $10,014.
January 24, 2000 is the deadline for Hemingway proposals. The deadline for RSPG
Spring 2000 proposals is March 23, 2000.
