3.     COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP CHANGES

Curriculum Committee - Kirk Hagen to replace Rock Spencer for his remaining appointment, and Shane Schvaneveldt to replace Steve Russell for Spring Semester.

Motion by the Executive Committee to approve the above committee membership changes.
Outcome: The motion passed unanimously.

Outcome: The motion passed unanimously.

Next month we will have a packet from the College of Applied Science and Technology proposing a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. They are contacting other departments on campus that will be affected by this proposal. Currently we have engineering technology degrees. The Dumke College of Health Professions is working on a Master of Nursing proposal that will work its way to the Faculty Senate in a month or two.

The Senate requested that information on the Curriculum Committee vote be included on the cover sheet of the proposals.

5.    OTHER ITEMS

Legislature - The Provost expressed optimism. It looks like there will be funding to replace Buildings 1 and 2. He indicated that the Legislature is discussing a 5% or more increase for compensation.
