Welcome to my home page. I am a Professor of Philosophy at Weber State University. In 1998 I completed my Doctorate in Philosophy at the University of California, Santa Barbara. My philosophical interests are somewhat varied, though generally within the confines of analytic philosophy. My main interest is in epistemology (currently I'm working on issues in skepticism and in self-knowledge). I also do research in metaphysics, the history of modern philosophy, medical ethics, and philosophical topics related to pop culture. I am the Executive Director of the Society for Skeptical Studies, a philosophical society formed to promote discussion and research on topics related to skepticism. This page is intended primarily as a resource for my students. My hope, however, is that it will prove interesting and useful to anyone interested in philosophy. Enjoy!
