History 2700 Treehouse Museum Project
Research on the members of the Corps of Discovery
The Lewis and Clark expedition mapped the new territory west of the Mississippi that was acquired by the United States in the Louisiana Purchase of 1803. The two explorers, Meriwether Lewis and William Clark, led a successful party from St. Louis, Missouri, across the wilderness to the Pacific Ocean and back again between 1804 and 1806. Students will research a member of the Corps and use that research to portray that character at the opening of the exhibit.
