Emily Inderrieden

Emily Inderrieden is a senior currently studying Piano Pedagogy at Weber State University under the direction of Dr. Yu-Jane Yang. She feels blessed to have had the opportunity to study under Dr. Yang's direction from the time she was 12 years old. She has studied piano for 15 years and has won first prize in several piano competitions including Albertsons College of Idaho International Competition for Creative Pianists, Utah Symphony Youth Guild Piano Competition, and the WSU Piano Festival for three consecutive years. Most recently she won the opportunity to perform Chopin’s First Piano Concerto with the Weber State University Symphony Orchestra. She has been a piano teacher and has served as a volunteer pianist at the LDS Conference Center and Joseph Smith Memorial Building for five years. Emily currently serves as the President of the UMTA-WSU Treblemakers chapter.
In addition to her musical achievements, Emily has also served in her community as Miss Kaysville/Fruit Heights 2006 and made the Top 10 at the Miss Utah Pageant in 2007 winning a preliminary talent award. While serving as Miss Kaysville/Fruit Heights she established a program to celebrate the performing arts in her community called “Celebrating Our Stars.” She loves serving others and enjoys doing so in a variety of ways.
