STUDENT HOUSING
President Thompson - Weber State is considering building additional student housing.  President Thompson is seeking feedback from faculty, staff, and students on whether or not we should build new student housing units.  If we build new units, where should they be built?  Construction would be for two or three story apartment style housing units totaling 400-500 beds.

APAFT PEER REVIEW
Gary Dohrer, Chair, Appointment, Promotion, Academic Freedom and Tenure Committee -  The committee is seeking direction from the Senate.  The APAFT Committee would like to enhance faculty files with peer review reports that assess, through a variety of mediums, the  teacher's knowledge, pedagogy, and methods used for assessment of student learning.  Currently, teacher files primarily contain student evaluations.  The APAFT Committee will refine the "evaluation of teaching document" and this item will be placed on the January agenda.

ASSA DEVELOPMENTAL FEE
John Thaeler, Chair, Admissions, Standards, and Student Affairs Committee - The terms "proficiency" and "competency" have been confusing.  These terms have been dropped.  The term "quantitative literacy" will be used and  "QL" will be placed before the course numbers to indicate that the course is used to fulfill the quantitative literacy requirement.  Students requiring developmental courses in math and English will be charged an additional fee for each term until both the math and English requirements have been met.  We currently charge $25 per quarter - $75 for the year.  This fee will be prorated when we change to semesters.

MOTION
Judy Elsley - Motion to place the Developmental Fee issue on the Faculty Senate Agenda, with additional wording to option 1.
    Second - John Sohl
