PROGRAM CHANGES
The Registrar is opposed to any program changes being made in the middle of the year. There is no policy regarding changes to programs. Laine Berghout felt that the Registrar wanted to treat the catalog as canonical. The Registrar’s concern is that several years down the road when they are doing an evaluation they will not have specific dates of changes to programs. He would like program changes to coincide with updates to the catalog.

A question was asked about a department changing its name. It was felt that department names are the prerogative of the department and the Provost.
