Course
description (exactly as it will appear in the

REST 4610. Advanced
Patient Assessment (1-2) Su,F,S The advanced patient
assessment project is designed to be a physician
intensive, interactive experience that emphasizes an
understanding of diagnostic processes involved in
assessing, evaluating, and treating patients with
cardiopulmonary diseases.
Justification:
As one of three REST 4800 courses required
for Baccalaurette Respiratory Care Practitioners,
this course seperates the individual projects to
specific courses required for the degree i.e.,
advanced patient assessment, health promotion, and
continuous quality improvement (CQI).

sufficient) from all departments that you have
identified above stating their support or opposition
to the proposed course.
This couse is not
offered by any other department.

for certification/accreditation of a program?
no
If so, a statement to that
effect should appear in the justification and

Faculty Senate
which should be sufficiently detailed that the

appropriate level and matches the description.
There should be an indication of the amount and type
of outside activity required in the course
(projects, research papers, homework, etc.).
