JUSTIFICATION:
The state (Utah State Office of Education) wants a calculus prerequisite for the probability and statistics course they require for a level 3 certification (our minor), and Math 2410 didn’t really have a calculus prerequisite, and calculus was not used in the course. Our Math 3410 does have a calculus prerequisite, and the only reason we first introduced Math 2410 was so students could be exposed to more statistics. That is not required by the state.
