Course description (exactly as it will appear in the catalog, including prerequisites):

HIM 2200 had combined healthcare related statistical content in with the privacy and security information for the past several years. We have found that the two subjects do not blend together as they once did. The program accrediting agency has made this same observation and asked us to separate the two content areas. The statistical component will be moved to HIM 2500 (an existing course) as it fits in with the data elements discussed at the beginning of the course. Students will be advised of the shift in the curriculum for appropriate coverage of the content and registration.
