Re:      Elementary Licensure Track within MED

________________________________________________________________________

Attached is the proposal for an elementary education licensure track within the existing Master of Education program. This proposal provides additional opportunities for individuals with an earned bachelors degree seeking a teaching career.

Within the materials you will find the following documents:

Cover sheet with a side-by-side comparison of our existing program and the proposed track for placement in the catalog. The font on the first few pages is very small because it is included for clarification of catalog placement. The proposed track begins on page 4.

Note that our existing program will remain in place, this proposes a track within it.

Summary of licensure track showing the articulation between the requirements for licensure and completion of the masters program.

Course proposals for two new courses: MED 6314 and MED 6316. A proposed change to an existing course resulting in double numbering EDUC 3430/MED 6430. A syllabus is included with each course proposal.

Thank you for your thoughtful consideration of this proposal.
