Davis Youth Summit

All Davis County teens (ages 13-18) are invited to the 3rd annual
Davis Youth Summit

Theme:  "Whatcha Waitin' For? Your Future Starts Now!"

Spend the day with other teens from throughout the county:
bulletHearing dynamic speakers
bullet Participating in breakout sessions, specifically related to teen issues. Some of which will be:
bullet Heather Anderson -- Miss Utah USA 2007 -- Sharing a personal message of not letting drugs ruin your future
bullet Anytown -- learn how to create inclusive and just schools and communities, while learning new skills, having fun and making friends for life
bulletZero Fatalities -- discuss seatbelt safety issues for teens.
bulletPhoenix Alliance -- hear about the targeting tobacco companies focus at teens and the dangers of tobacco use.
bullet Layton Youth Court
bullet Davis Behavioral Health
bullet Relay for Life -- American Cancer Society
bullet DARE -- teen advocates for drug abuse resistance education
bullet A&B Productions -- learn the latest dance moves
bullet Woods Cross Impact Team
bullet Center for Change -- eating disorders
bulletHave an idea for a presentation you don't see listed?  Know someone who would be a great presenter on these or other topics?  Send us your ideas!
bullet Helping with many club-sponsored service projects, hosted by: FCCLA, Key Club, REAL Team, Youth of Promise, and others!
bulletEating snack and dinner
bulletPlaying games (including an inflatable obstacle course, inflatable jumbo Twister, and inflatable wrestling ring)
bulletDancing at a stomp


When: Saturday – February 28, 2009


Where: Northridge High School – 2430 N. Hillfield Road – Layton, Utah


Time: 12:30pm - 11:00pm


Cost: $10 (postmarked by February 20, 2009) – DELIVERED TO NORTHRIDGE HIGH SCHOOL BY WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 25TH! NO LATE or ON-SITE REGISTRATION, so register ASAP!  (Attendance will be capped at the first 1000 students registered. Last year, we had nearly 700 teens attend, so hurry and register!)

bullet What you get for the $$: Entry to hear/meet a nationally recognized speaker, a Davis Youth Summit t-shirt, snacks throughout the day, participation in 3 break-out sessions with dynamic local presenters, catered dinner, games/activities (see above), and admittance to a county-wide stomp!
