All Davis County teens (ages 13-18) are invited to the 2nd annual
Davis Youth Summit
Theme: "Be the Dream!"
Spend the day with other teens from throughout the county:
 | Hearing dynamic speakers |
| Participating in breakout sessions, specifically related to
teen issues.
 | Kevin Burdick (local singer/songwriter) -- as a leader you can
inspire others to follow their dreams. |
| Daniel Coats (#86 Cincinnati Bengals) -- hear how he followed his
dreams to the NFL. |
| PowerInYou.org Ambassadors -- hear real-life experiences on how to
overcome issues related to: dating dangers, teen pregnancy, eating
disorders, suicide, etc. |
| Cynthia Smith (NHS teacher) -- learn about cell phone etiquette and
how cell phone can impact your safety and affect your awareness. |
| Teen C.E.R.T. -- how to set up a student emergency responder team. |
| Zero Fatalities -- discuss seatbelt safety issues for teens. |
| Susan Puls (orthopedic surgeon and disaster expert) -- hear a
remarkable life story of accomplishment and service. |
| Phoenix Alliance -- hear about the targeting tobacco companies focus
at teens and the dangers of tobacco use. |

| Helping with many club-sponsored service projects (more information to
come)
| Share Boxes -- help decorate memento boxes to be given to parents
who lose an infant or child. |
| Fleece Blankets -- help tie blankets for children with cancer. |
| Newborn Hats -- help knit hats for infants in 3rd world countries. |
| Hospice Cards -- help make cards for elderly hospice patients who
have chosen comfort over cure for their final days of life. |

| Eating snack and dinner |
| Playing games (including an inflatable obstacle course, inflatable jumbo
Twister, and inflatable wrestling ring) |
| Dancing at a stomp |
When: Saturday – January 26, 2008
Where: Northridge High School – 2430 N. Hillfield Road – Layton, Utah
Time: 12:00pm - 11:00pm
Cost: $10 (postmarked by January 17, 2008) –
NO LATE or ON-SITE REGISTRATION, so register ASAP! (Last year,
we had over 800 teens attend, so hurry and register!)

musician, a 2008 Davis Youth Summit t-shirt, snacks throughout the day,
participation in 3-4 break-out sessions with dynamic local
presenters, catered dinner, games/activities (see above), and admittance to a county-wide
