Interactive Response, Campus Portal Project

Having participated in this campus portal project for slightly more than a month, I'd like to take a moment to reflect on what we've learned.  Would you please take a moment to respond to the following two questions?

1.   So what is a campus portal anyway?  How is it different from a campus home page. How would you describe it to someone else?  What analogies or metaphors would you use?

2.  What are the critical issues that must be addressed before your campus implements a campus portal?
