My Interactions with the SPCSP
I recently got a disturbing letter from the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Symbols and Punctuation (SPCSP). This generated some additional correspondence both from me and from my Calculus 2 students. At the risk of legal action from them, I have retyped the letter and placed it here. A fun exercise would be to count the number of punctuation errors in the letter. You can find my resulting letter to my students here. Will Laxson, one of the students in my Calculus 2 class, responded to my letter. You can find his response here.
