Health Promotion Majors/Minors
Listserv Information
The purpose of this listserv is to
help all of us involved in the health promotion program communicate more
effectively with each other. We have set this listserv up for students,
instructors, professors and advisors to be able to help keep us all more informed of happenings here and to help keep
us all in better contact with each other. Any and all aspects of our program can
be discussed through this listserv. This will help you to get questions you
might have answered more quickly and hopefully, more thoroughly. You may use
this listserv to find out about things like upcoming conferences, program
changes, class changes and anything else that seems important to anyone involved
with our Health Promotion Program.
*Steps to be placed on the Health Promotion
Listserv*
1. To subscribe to the list.
A. Email a message to mailserv@cc.weber.edu
with a blank SUBJECT: line and the message, "subscribe healthpromo (your
full email address). The inclusion of your full name is optional. An example of
a message subscribing to the list healthpromo:
TO: mailserv@cc.weber.edu
SUBJECT: (leave blank)
MESSAGE:
subscribe healthpromo pmaravich@hotmail.com (pmaravich@hotmail.com is obviously just an example. You would use your own
e-mail address in its place.)
B. You will be notified that your subscription has been accepted
by return mail.

*How to send a message on
the Health Promotion Listserv*
If anyone on the listserv wants to send a message to the other
members all you have to do is write your message and send it to the database.
The database then sends an email out to everyone else on the listserv. Here are
some instructions on how to use the listserv.
To
send a message on the listserv is very easy. All you do is send an email
letter to healthpromo@cc.weber.edu. Once the
email is received by this account the same message you sent is forwarded to all
members of the mail list. If you have any questions please email me at molpin@weber.edu.

2. Canceling a subscription to a list.
A. Email a message to mailserv@cc.weber.edu
with a blank SUBJECT: line and the message, "unsubscribe healthpromo. An
example of a message canceling a subscription to the list healthpromo:
TO: mailserv@cc.weber.edu
SUBJECT:
MESSAGE:
unsubscribe healthpromo

If you do change your email address or want to
remove your email address from the listserv this is how you can do it. If
you have any questions or problems, please email me at molpin@weber.edu
and I will try to fix the problem or answer your question.
