DVD Relaxation Exercise

Restful Breathing

The DVD homework assignment for this week is the fourth exercise on the Stress Relief DVD called "Restful Breathing."

Practice doing this exercise at least two (2) times according to the instructions on the DVD. One of those times, do it immediately before you fall sleep at night. Make it be the very last thing you do before you close your eyes to fall asleep.

Do it at times when you will not be disturbed. It lasts approximately 12 minutes.

In a typed format respond to the following items:

  1. How you felt before the exercise

  2. Your experience during the exercise

  3. How you felt immediately following the exercise

  4. How you felt long after completing the exercise, or how you slept and awakened the following morning

On your typed paper, thoroughly respond to each of these items referring to the two times that you did them at home, and the time that you did it with us in class. Describe primarily how you were feeling in relation to your stress levels.
