Research   (publications)

I am interested in the representation theory of Lie algebras, quantum groups, and related algebras (here is one example, and here is another). When I was at the University of Arizona, several of us did some combinatorial work related to the modular representation theory of the symmetric group. Recently, I have also been working with some colleagues on some projects in mathematics education (see CEMELA). Here is a link to a talk that Cynthia Anhalt and I gave at MSRI. Here is another talk.

A bit about me

Before coming to Weber State, I was a "teaching postdoc" at the University of Arizona. Prior to that, I was a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. While I was in Madison, I met my wonderful wife Jenn. We have a cute kid and a dog.
