Response Papers

Response Papers are brief (2-3 pages) writings in which you:

  1. summarize
  2. comment/react

The response papers are short, but they are not entirely informal. The response papers are not intended to be a gut-level, personal, or emotional response. They are intended to be well-reasoned, well-written essays, however brief. I fully encourage you to HAVE gut-level, personal, and emotional responses to the presentations (I do). I also encourage you to take notes on the presentations. In crafting your response essay, take that initial scribbling and shape it into a more formal response that makes a clear argument.

Response papers must be typed/printed (double-spaced), free of gross spelling and grammatical errors.
