Class Information

Learning Outcomes

Students will learn:

Class meets:  online    All class readings will be available online.

               

To access class:  Go to http://canvas.weber.edu  and log in using your WSU user name and password.   (http://canvas.weber.edu  usually works even if eWeber is down.)

I'm the Head of Reference & Information Services at Stewart Library (responsible for research assistance, electronic resources, government publications, etc.)  I also teach for the History Department (Ancient and African history) and the Honors Program.  I have a PhD in history.  My work focused on the civilizations around (and near) the Mediterranean Sea, particularly the Greeks & the Romans.

Grading

Completion of this course with a C or higher meets Part D of the WSU Computer and Information Literacy requirement. 

You will get a letter grade for this course.


Grading scale:      135  total points possible 

128 -  135 =  A
121 -  127 =  A-
114 -  120 =  B+
108 -  113 =  B
101 -  107 =  B-
  94 -  100 =  C+
  87 -    93 =  C  (You need a C or better to get your Information Literacy credit.)
  81 -   86 = C-    
  74 -    80 = D+
  67 -    73 = D
  60 -    66 = D-
  59 & under = E
