Joyce M. Buck

MS, CFLE
Instructor Specialist

Hi There,

Welcome to my WSU webpage.

I'm Joyce Buck, Instructor Specialist in Child and Family Studies. I began my career at WSU in 1975 as a faculty member during the time the department acquired its current name of "Child and Family Studies."

When I married, I left Weber College and began my wife and mother experience. More than 20 years, and six children later, having been a stay-at-home mother and homemaker, I returned to Weber as a full-time instructor, certified as a Family Life Educator through the National Council on Family Relations, and taught for another twenty years.

My experience includes Extension Home Economist for Morgan County and illustrator for AEGIS Character Education, and Program Chair and President of the Utah Council on Family Relations, co-advisor to the Child and Family Studies Student Association (CFSSA) and advisor to the Weber State University Chapter of Golden Key International Honour Society.

Currently I am retired and serve as a part-time Instructor Specialist.  The classes I teach are listed below. If you are registered for one of them you can find the current course syllabus with assignment descriptions and due dates in Canvas.

CHF 2400 Family Relations.
CHF 3150 Consumer Rights and Responsibilities (available Online only).
