(Note: mark "district" and then the name of your school district on the registration site as "payment method", that way your school district will pay the small fee, and the class is free for you.)

The Bridging The Gap program is helping school teachers to take mathematics courses at Weber State University and gain higher levels of mathematics endorsements throughout the state of Utah.

How does the BTG program help teachers?

1. The classes are held at convenient times (evenings or summer school break) and locations (mostly along the Wasatch front, close to I-15).

2. The instructors understand the needs and limitations of in-service teachers and tailor the curriculum for their needs.

3. Free two hours of tutoring per week for participating teachers.

4. Tuition will be paid by WSU, USOE, and Utah school districts. It is free for you, unless your school district denies payment for whatever reason. Even then, the registration fee is only $50/credit hour, and that includes free textbooks.

5. The program will hopefully continue  for many more years.

6. It's a lot of fun to go through a few classes with colleagues you hardly knew before and earn the higher endorsement together.

Please do not hesitate to ask further information from the program director:

George Kvernadze at 626-7321 (office), 540-2263 (cell) or e-mail to gkvernadze@weber.edu (this is the best way to reach me).
