Personal

My wife, Leisha, and I live in Ogden with our 2 children, Tyler who is three and McKinley who is one.

Teaching Philosophy

As an athletic training educator I believe in three overlying themes. First, all students have the potential to succeed and it is my duty to establish an educational foundation that students can build upon as they progress through school and life. Second, it is my responsibility to be an advocate for my students, protecting their rights, whether in the academic classroom and/or more importantly during their clinical education. Finally, learning is not a short term four year process, rather learning is a life-long activity and as such I believe that my role as an educator is to teach students not only athletic training skills but how to learn, so that they can then become active participants in their own learning process for the rest of their lives.
