Aquatic Ecology 2010

For fall semester 2010, the focus of Aquatic Ecology will be stream ecology and water management in the Weber River drainage, northeast Utah.  The goal is to apply knowledge of stream ecology to water management in a local setting, making it more relevant to students now and throughout their lives as scientists and citizens.

 

Class Highlights

1.  Lecture format emphasizes reading comprehension, discussion, and writing.

2.  All learning will be related to the "Weber River basin, planning for the future" document which provides background for water management in the Weber River drainage.

3. Laboratory activities will culminate in a group scientific poster presentation.
