Guidelines for Participants

Each session usually lasts 55 minutes.  Please use the first 20 or 30 minutes for your presentation and/or demonstration. Attendees usually like to spend at least 15 minutes of each session exploring sites on their own. 

Please prepare a Web page or send a list of Web sites to Carol Hansen (chansen@weber.edu) a few days before your session. We will link your list to the Untangle session page for future reference. Participants usually make copies (around 20) of this Web page as a handout for attendees. If you need assistance with photocopying, please let Carol know. 

Guidelines for Instruction Team Members

Each Untangling the Web session will be attended by a member of the Library Instruction Team. This team member will

• introduce the speaker at the beginning of the session, or the presenter may introduce themselves if they prefer
• assist presenter and attendees with using computers as needed
• pass out 1/2 page Untangling the Web assessment form to each attendee and encourage them to complete th form and leave on a back table as they depart. These are on the shelf near printer in classroom 138. This simple survey asks attendees to comment on session and give suggestions for future sessions. 
• will count number of attendees and let Carol know (just mark on top of evaluation form, or add a post it note)
• will collect evaluation forms and put under Carol's office door immediately following session.
