Attendees: Carol, Wade, Jill, Ruby, Lonna, Fran, Shaun
Systems and Classrooms Update: classrooms work the same as last year. All stations have zip drives and boot up faster. PC's in 31 are next to be replaced as there are several with big problems according to Dave.
Lanskool was tested in 138 and worked OK. Be sure to test before using and make sure all student stations are booted up OK.
Synod will put together a guide on opening and closing procedures for PC's in classrooms. Fran will also develop a guide for restarting equipment after power outages, and will put these in the notebooks. Classrooms are heavily booked and we need to think about getting a 3rd classroom
Ebsco Host: We will use "Academic Search Elite" generally as title for instruction. Systems will work with Reference to enable direct connections to individual databases ASAP. Fran mentioned that Davis County library had direct (non proxy) remote access to Ebscohost. Carol will ask systems to investigate.
English 2010 and FYE: Exercises, handouts and powerpoints have been updated and were distributed to team for review. This incorporates changes to Ebsco. Team input is requested. Forward any suggestions to Carol by Tuesday Aug 29. Keep track of any problems you have this term so we can make changes for next term. Scheduling changes are still going on in the English department, but our schedule should be pretty stable. Team provided some background for Shaun.
Instruction Team and Instruction Staffing Needs: These are still in flux. Give Carol any input.
