  5. FARs due next month, mid May - Carol asked the team to think about using team goals and annual report  to enhance your FARs and to let her know in the next couple of weeks if you have any issues or concerns you may wish to discuss regarding any instruction related goals you have set for this year. Joan has asked us to add answers to two additional  questions in this year's FAR
    1. How have you used the student end of course evaluations and other assessment data to improve your  course?
    2. What are your professional development plans or needs for the coming year?
  6. Student End of Course Evaluations are working fine - Kathy T . has the roll of SNAP expert and she will send out  SNAP URL's to faculty when she gets back

Discussion

  1. English 2010 exercise changes for summer term. At the last team meeting Team members were asked to double check new SIRS instructions to make sure they work well before Summer. Janae gets extra brownie points for submitting so many good suggestions/corrections. Carol will add Janae's corrections and send out one more draft before Fran needs to print for summer. She will include Letourneau's suggestion about question 13 and ask Donna Cheney to clarify her request. Carol will send out a summary of the English 2010 evals when Kathy T. gets back.
  2. FYE exercise changes for summer term - Janae also had a few suggestions that Carol will implement.
  3. The team reviewed the 2002/2003 team goals and lwe are thrilled with all we have accomplished! Aren't we? Carol will update and send out a new draft of the 2003/2004 Goals including the several items we haven't gotten to this year, a goal on validating the info lit exam, and any other suggestions you may have in the next few weeks. Continue to let me know if you have any suggestions for  future planning, for the end of this year, and looking into next year. Carol will add SAILS info. Joan asked if there were any major revisions for the navigator planned for this summer and Carol said none had been requested/suggested. Carol demonstrated the Navigator faculty input submission form. Username is navfac, password is letmein. Carol asked Shaun if there was any information on Web CT but Shaun hasn't heard anything new. She'll try to get more info.
  4. The team decided to begin consistently using "Information Literacy" to replace "instruction" as in IL program, team, etc. Carol will make changes in any remaining team documents.
  5. Student End of Course Evaluation - We ran out of time on this. Art and Evan have agreed to form a subcommittee to create a new draft of a new student end of course evaluations. They will send out a new draft to faculty this month. They will use the following to develop the new form:
    1. suggestions for new draft from team earlier this semester
    2. what we use now
    3. ACRL Standards
    4. our Information Literacy Competencies
    5. the priority outcomes listed in our assessment plans - THANKS! Art and Evan!
  6. As may arise - Fran mentioned that she, Shaun and Joan need to get together to work on their ULA poster
