  1. Classroom update - Altiris is working in both classrooms! Thanks Chris for getting this done ahead of schedule.

Discussion:

Action item/date
1. English 2010 schedule, exercise, presentation and assessment:
  • The team went over every page of the Eng2010 exercise and made changes suggested by Art and others. It was decided to ask students this summer to look at SIRS Knowledge index, instead of asking them to choose a second database on their own. So we will try that. Please give Carol feedback over the summer.
  • Eng 2010 evaluations are being collected via SNAP. Over 200 were in the box earlier this week. Kathy Thiriot will pull out the data before she goes on leave.
  • Team agreed Eng2010 exercise was fine where it is for now. Carol will ask for clarification from WAG.
Team members will double check new SIRS instructions to make sure they work well before Summer. Feb 2003

During Summer team will give feedback to Carol on how SIRS question worked.

Carol  will share summary SNAP data with team and English department. Late Feb 2003

2. FYE  schedule, exercise and presentation. FYE seems OK, Live Chat question will be refined for next time. Kathy Thiriot will pull out the SNAP data before she goes on leave.
3. Team 2002/2003 Web goals and future planning need to be discussed at our next meeting. Carol will send out for review before next meeting.
4. Link Checking: Fran provided an update on link checking of research guides: She summarized "Systems is updating the links to article databases on the Research Guides by Subject. They are starting with the A's and going alphabetically. In conjunction with Chris H, Ludwig, John H., Katy Paulson, and myself, we think we have worked out a system to assure that all the links will be checked on those subject guides. After Systems completes their part, Chris V. and I will oversee checking the links to web sites on each guide. Any broken links will be reported to the guide author. Responsibility for updating the broken links will be the author's responsibility. Ask me if you are unclear on this." Thanks to Fran for all of her hard work on getting useful procedures in place for this.
As may arise: there was some additional discussion of problems with Contribute. Slowness of saving, freezing computer before saving, lack of access at ref desk and classrooms, etc.
