Announcements
- Don't forget to keep track of your annual
instruction goals, I'd like an update in December as I will be on
sabbatical Spring semester. Carol welcomes comments and feedback on her
plans for her sabbatical
project.
- "About our Program" pages -
These will be helpful in applying to the program below. Feedback again is welcome.
Link appears on the team intranet, and soon on the Instruction home page.
- ACRL Information Literacy program
in June - Carol is interested in applying, let her know if you are
interested in being involved.
- Team agreed to remove all standard games from
classroom PC's. Carol will request Systems do this.
- Automating classroom scheduling - Winslow
Hurst's area has purchased a system that works with staars to schedule
classrooms. We are looking into it to see if it may be useful for us.
Although it looks like there isn't Web output. Shaun also suggested using
Excel as they have at USU. Carol will contact John Elsweiler for details.
Jill suggested using Access. Excel or Access is something Ludwig could do,
but Kathy said it is low on her priority list for him, as he is still
building UCC and creating alternate database pages for when RPA crashes.
Sorry Fran, we'll keep looking for outside help.
Discussion
- Eng 2010 assessment results, changes in exercise,
presentation. Shaun and Art suggested a couple of changes, to the
exercise. These have been made.
- FYE assessment results, new exercise, presentation.
FYE comments will be distributed to all.
- Handouts for 2010 and FYE: It was decided that we
will place the following handouts on a back table and invite students to
take them if they want to:
- Buff, layered General Guide
- White 1010 Web info page
- Information Literacy Competencies page
- Express Access from Home
- magnets (for FYE only)
- Annual staffing plan will be completed in December.

- 2001 - Digitization
- 2002 - Fran and Lonna suggested virtual
reference. Kathy and Jill suggested marketing library services. Shaun
and kathy will send Carol possible names
- As may arise - Kathy provided an update on 24/7. She
will send out details.
Faculty Discussion
- Lib Sci 2201 assessment plan - Ruby
has set a meeting for 10/23 at 2:00 PM, she will let us know where soon.
- Teaching Schedule for 2002-2003 -
Ruby suggested that evening sessions say "staff" as this was
what Joan requested.
