 Fall 2003 FYE Comments by Students

Trends: very good overall, maybe we need an ILC Requirement handout?

 I now know where to go to find out what test I need to take to get test out of the Info. lit. requirement. Which is very helpful.

 The teacher was nice and now I'm not so scared to come in. I also know that I can get help when I am at home. There is someone always willing to help me.

 This library/internet instruction was very useful to me for the fact that I do not know the internet very well. This is my first year that I actually use the internet at least once a week. It was very useful

 This course was effect in answering question that would have appeared when i would need to use the library. So now I will be able to plan a head where to get information on subject, etc.

 Being able to find all the articles I may need will be great!

 This was a good session but I really think it would be more helpful if we came in a few more times during the semester. Being a Freshman everything is more confusing.

 I have really learned a lot and I am glad that I took part in this orentation thank you

 This was very useful since I have not been to the library at the Ogden campus.I really feel more at ease now if Ihad to go there.

 Boy! Libraries sure have changed. What ever happened to the door-to-door encyclopaedia salesman? Everything looks good. I wish I had the time to go through everything. The site was easy to use.

 This assignment was actually pretty easy. I have always had extensive knowledge of where to find the information that I needed. However, through this excercise I found some other interesting ways of getting

 I think that all of the instructions that I received was very helpful. I am now able to use the internet library.

 IT was all useful and in the near future i will use this link to further help me with my work.

 I thought the different search options that the library offers will be very useful to find credible aricles on the internet.

 I learned that there are alot more things available online from my library than I thought, such as help finding research topics and borrowing books from other libraries

 I felt that it was very useful. I like how you could just look it up on the computer with out going to ask someone for help or info. I also feel more like i could go ask someone for help too.

 Um, make sure that everyone knows what full text means and what database means. Some computer words can throw students off and confuse them thanx so much

 The only thing I wanted to learn and didn't was of there was some kind of test or exam to skip the requirement of a library/information class.

 I didn't know how to use the library and didn't know anything about it because I am a freshman. So, now with this class I have learned a lot about where I can find my information and where everything is in t

 this information helped me out a lot. now i know were and what to look at if i have to do a paper.

 I think the skills instructions were very usefull for for me , it helped know more than what I already knew.

 Things were presented a little too quickly because of the short class period, however, I did learn a lot and feel comfortable with using all of the resources the library has to offer.

 I found everything about the library very useful and it will be easier for me to understand library computer anytime that I need to go online

 I had never used academic search elite I never even knew about it this exercise was very useful it taught me new ways of accessing information

 I'm excited to be able to look for papers and research online without having to spend hours looking over books and copying down notes. Also I like the idea of a live chat with helpfull librarians.

 It's good that we learned to use the website and everything, but I think the library classes should be optional because some people are already information and computer literate.

 i think it is but it's a lot of work to do just for a paper but i guess that's what research is right...lots of work. so all in all i think its a really great research tool.

 It was definitely a usefull exercise, I now feel a can make my own way through the library and if not I know who and where to ask.
