I hate searching through libraries and would much rather use internet search engines to find useful information. Now I know that there are several sites to locate academic information instead of searching through the entire net.

I really enjoyed it. Everything was very clear and understandable. The worksheet was great because it helped cement the things I learned and to review it all again so it'll stick longer.

This exercise gave me an opportunity to learn a little better about how to use the library resources while there was someone there that could help me if I ran into any problems. It is a good informative exercise.

I've been doing this kind of research and computer usage for the past couple of years.

This exercise was directed towards students who have had extremely limited knowledge of computers and searching web sites and such. It was useful for the specifics of the Stewart Library catalog, but the rest was fairly slow moving.

I took this session last semester and I really learned alot this time... I especially appreciated learning about the CQ Researcher...I feel that it is going to be very useful in the future. Thanks For all the new Knowledge...

I already knew most of the information that was presented in class.

I think we could have spent more time talking about primary vs secondary sources, such as where to go first(the most useful place), such as the government pages, CQ researcher, etc. Better explanation.

It was too short of a presentation, maybe have it over two class periods.

I liked the exercise a lot. The only thing I thought that could be better would be that we could have more than one session, because we learned it, but then since we didn't have time to go over it a little more, it will be something more easily forgotten

I have almost done this exact exercise when I was in junior high. I thought it was pointless then, and I still think so now. Now that the internet is so popular, everyone knows how to find what they need.

It seems that this exercise was simply a condensed version of the LibSci 2201 2-credit class.

the class really didn't stay together, but the instructor helped when needed. the instruction manual was self explanitor.

I did this exercise from home and had a hard time accessing certain parts ( like the Brittanica encyclopedia).

I am so grateful that we did this exercise as part of class. It really helped me get my research going for my first paper. The presenter was very helpful and easy to talk to. Also I liked the way that the presentation was the 2nd week of the semester.

It seems awkward to have this library exercise in a world where we began to use the internet and other sources for research when we were in elementary school. 90% of the students already know how to do these things.

It was somewhat usefull, I did learn of the online libary which is helpfull. But it still felt likr busy work.

One question arrises; I did some of the assignment at home. Is there a way to use the briticanna enclopedia from home?

it's really nice to have this because this way you learn it and you don't have to worry about bugging the librarians all the time for help
