3- Practice evaluating and documenting Internet publications

     NOTE:  Please refer to readings #5 and #6 in completing this assignment.

PART I:  Nature and Uses of the Internet

   1. List and describe examples of THREE broad types (categories) of information
       commonly available on the Internet.  (Be specific)
       






   2. Describe examples of THREE distinct uses of the Internet.  (Be specific)








PART II: Navigation, Resources, and Evaluation

   1. State THREE ways of navigating from one Internet site to another, and describe how 
       each works.  (Be specific)






   2. Using any search engine, locate an Internet document (not a home page or table of links)
       on your topic, and provide the following:
      
       a) Name of the search engine used:                                                                                  

       b) Answer according to which method of the two methods below you chose to use.
            (You need to use only one method)

           Select Term (Search Box) Method.  State the exact search statement you entered

            clicked on in your search path (in sequential order).

           






       c)  Write and attach a bib card for the above document using correct MLA
             bibliographic form, and following the bib card example in handout 1.

             given on handout 6)

       d)  Attach a note card for the above document.  On it write your critical narrative
            of the document.  (HINT:  Follow the note card example in handout 1 and
            use the criticism criteria checklist in handout 7)

       e) Attach a print of the FIRST PAGE of the above document.
