Married to Kay W. Forsyth, Study Abroad Director, Utah State University.
Two children: Cory, born 1981, living and working in New York City; Jenna, born 1985, grad student at University of Washington, Seattle


Interests: outdoors activities (hiking and camping), sports (tennis, golf, basketball), travel (Central America, Western & Eastern Europe, Turkey, Australia, Indonesia, China, Japan), languages (French, Spanish), words and word games


Current project: writing "trivia atlas" of the USA (contributions welcome)
